  Question regarding Faith...(adamah)

  peace!.

  you have stated (and others have agreed and stated the same) that faith is not based on evidence, or it is not faith to begin with.

  may i ask you, then, if you think the apostles and early disciples, who walked with christ, had faith?

  Commenting my own post......"no human thinking".....does the Organization of Wisdom mean an absence of the intellect?

  That faith can only be built through Heart, not the intellect?

  If so.....how to use "logical thinking" without thinking??

  Hopefully no one will be mad at me when I double post this "faith - evidence" article:

  Logical thinking and common sense is therefore something totally different that human thinking. That was a surprise for me.

  First I want to see everything from their point of view. (I have never experienced that before). I also wish to have my questions being answered (step by step, slowly). I take it from there and see what happens....

  Thanks for the tips, Stilllin, they can be useful.

  About older publications, I see no problem. First meeting I can mention the recommendation in the Watchtower 2012 Aug 15 "that we should learn everything we can about the history of Jehova´s earthly organization" and "I found that very interesting".

  When it´s about God, I have made a journey - when I was young I hoped that God exists - later I went into a belief that God exists - much later I had a wake-up-call and questioned my belief - now, a few years later I´m not humble (and will probably never be), but I have the experiences of how it is to have a deep belief. But because I had a biased view when I was "in it", I was too blind to realizing it back then. I thought my path was the true way of life, but it was wrong. That belief made me even more arrogant (then before) without seeing it. (That´s also one of the main reasons why I´m so interested in these things)

  To your question, Cofty, "51% sure there is no God". What about the other 49%? Do these 49% contains a counter-belief that there is a God? Or something else?

  Personally, the question "does God exists?" for me it´s 50/50. Maybe, maybe not. I don´t believe in either of the sides.The best word I can use is that I´m neutral. (I will not use the word "open" again). What I have learned is that at least I don´t wish to go back to that believing state again, because that made me "bad to worse". And that´s a fact I have proven for myself afterwards.

  Slimboyfat described it very well: "I don´t believe in God but I´m open for the possibility that he may exist"

  Besides all the scanned photo copies I have, the Wt publications I have in book form is

  Wt vol 1984 (generation of 1914 etc)

  Awake vol 1984 (creators promise....before the gen who saw the events of 1914 will pass away)

  The first and second "original"JW Bibles (1961 and 1970) ("all angels worship Jesus")

  You can live in paradise forever on earth 1982 (Jesus meant the people who were living 1914)

  The Harp of God 1928 (Picture on Jesus on Cross + many places in the book "Jesus upon the cross")

  Life everlasting.... 1966 (about 1975 thing)

  Anyway I hope it will be interesting for both me and them.

  You attacked me right from the start, if you remember. We all understand that you are confident in your belief (that God does not exist), no problem.

  You believe that I think I´m humble? If so, you are totally wrong in your belief. I don´t consider myself to be humble. I´m a walking failure and that was not hard for me to figure out. I just hope that I will not fall in the trap to be a believer again.

  I will also promise you this; from now I will never again write about open mind, arrogance, pride or humility......I´m done with that. I will keep everything for myself from now.
